We have all heard about Sapphire Engagement rings but did you know Teal Sapphire rings are gaining in popularity? Never heard of them? Well let me introduce you to them, because they are pretty darn cool. Like blue velvet.
Teal sapphires are a beautiful combination of blue and green and the comment I get the most is that they look like the Caribbean sea. Most of them are mined in Montana which makes them eco-friendly as we can often trace them directly from the family that mined them.
Around Rough Luxe Jewelry, Teal Sapphires are also known as Montana Sapphires and you will commonly see them referred to both ways.
Teal Montana Sapphires are some of my favorite stones as they can range from a beautiful sea blue green to teal to everything in between if they are a color changer. A color changer means they can change colors based on heat and light. They are also extremely fun to pick out as some are more blue/green and some are more green/blue. But they are all beautiful and best of all no two are alike.
I can get lost in that sea of blue/green for hours and often end up buying way to many because I cannot choose. What that passion means for you is that I have built great relationships with Teal Sapphire miners and I have often have a gorgeous selection to choose from. I can also source larger Montana Teal Sapphires for you if you want something big, gorgeous and unique.
Since sapphires are only second in hardness to diamonds they are an excellent choice for a long lasting engagement ring. And since many brides now are looking for something unique and non-traditional, choosing a Teal Sapphire not only will fit the bill but is also more budget friendly than a diamond.
This pretty little thing went to one lucky bride. It is a Teal Montana Sapphire set in 14k white gold amongst a sea of diamonds. It was pure blue velvet. Keep in mind that any of the rings in our collection can be custom made with a Teal Sapphire.
Keep in mind here at Rough Luxe we only use high quality diamonds...regardless of their size. In fact melee diamonds (the tiny ones for the halo) are often where jewelers cut corners...but we believe that using quality gemstones in every aspect of the ring makes all the difference in the world and really makes a ring pop.

It is always better to get your size correctly the first time around. Not only do we want you to love your ring upon arrival, we want to ensure that it fits you perfectly. So if you do not know your ring size already we will be happy to help you out with that.
